Heading off to Texas for the Thanksgiving holiday. From the sounds of it, no relative has been denied an invite for the feast.
And, while part of me feels that no one should be spared a seat at the hullabaloo the other part feels there is wisdom in knowing when to say “We’re all filled up. Have a great time at your place.”
But then I don’t have much ground to stand on because I am an invitee not and inviter.
It will be great to get the time off from work and to get back and see that family. I think its been a year since I have been back. It has been hard to get away from work and the pace of monotony.
Surprising that I am so incapable of escaping something I don’t like when I have so much freedom to walk away.
Anyhow….
Thanksgiving will be a good break and and nice diversion.
