On the heels of One Hit Wonder returning to the stage in LA, the no-budget movie my brother made last year is showing at the Austin Film Festival.
I may or may not have mentioned this, but Dustin was the title role in The Breakdance Kid. The movie written and directed by a friend from Philmont, Larry “Dirty Larry” McLaughlin. And produced by his sister, Colleen. I worked with them briefly on a shot film adaptation they did of “The Cremation of Sam McGee” several years back. If anyone I know should be successful in the movie biz, its these three.
Dustin took several weeks off from work in LA and drove out to Austin to be part of this feature length comedy about a pizza guy run over by a truck driving former break dancer.
